Its always nice to have another M1 in use. Just got myself a wood (not fake) M14 stock to stick on mine, plus a few internal upgrades...I'll unveil it at Autumn Mist.

Well, with the arrival today of my mustard trousers, the US kit is about 80% done. I just need to get a jacket, mag bag/pouches and boots.
I'll sort out some pics later and you can let us know what you thing/ what's wrong/ whats needed.

The leather strap on the helmet is orange and it will be sorted. Cheers P.

Finally got my Thompson finished - here's a few pics. Now I can concentrate on my boots, jacket and helmet and hopefully get some pics up of the full kit.

Jon,nice looking Thompson there.

Do you find like i do that with the sling correctly fitted as yours is that they are crap-too short with no adjustment available?
Thought it was just the repros that were too short but i had an original one and that was the same

hey, look at this

yeah, i relised that when i looked at the pictures, problem is no one else down here does WWII so i'm learning on my own and taking guide from places like this forum, kind of funny me running round in WWII gear while everyone else is modern.

Heh... that's normal for me... get used to it :)

Me too. I don't do much open day stuff but I've only got WWII gear so that's what I go in. I find that people are either interested and compliment you or just don't notice. I have to confess that I feel a bit of a plum being the only one in WWII German kit though, so I usually go Brit.

Haha I bet that's pretty awkward in the German gear.
